( she discards the query about too many details, things she wouldn't care about, as she thinks it over - she deals in details, necessarily. the ability to get what she wants without being seen to push for it relies heavily on an ability to create situations in which her way is the most natural way, and operating like that on a day to day basis can...complicate things.

but neatness. she can work with that. even stage-managing her own life, things are never really as tidy as she likes to present them; people don't work like that, don't slot into place like skillfully designed code. there are always loose ends, always questions - something that doesn't fit, because people sometimes just do things and you don't get far if you can't accommodate for not always understanding.

( there are lots of details, he's right, but they all fit. they shouldn't. especially not in such an unfamiliar place. she should have more questions, already, than she did. )
