( INFORMATION ) RULES
01 » DON'T BE AN ASS-BUTT. Be nothing but awesome to each other. Please deal with each other with a level of tact and courtesy. We don't tolerate wank, trolling, harassment, or bully of another player. Should you have concerns with another player, address each other in a respectable manner and if the problem persists, do not hesitate to escalate the situation to a mod. 02 » BASIC ROLEPLAY ETIQUETTE. Please remember no godmodding, metagaming, no infomodding and no powerplaying. This is just another way to be awesome to one another, because if you app in a character, you don't expect to suddenly find someone else trying to play them for you, right? If you're not sure if someone minds being fourth-walled, just shoot them a quick message. 03 » IC, OOC AND YOU. IC actions don't equate to OOC attitudes, and things that happen in game shouldn't be taken as such. Vice versa, things that happen in game shouldn't happen for out of character reasons. That in mind, similarly to communicating about anything from the previous mention, if you feel like you're being put into a situation you're uncomfortable with re: characterisation, &c., please try and set up some communication instead of steadily nursing a quietly simmering rage. 04 » CHARACTER LIMITS. Players are allowed up to five characters provided they have maintained sufficient activity with those they are currently playing. Within those five, up to two may be callsigns, and players are not permitted to play multiple characters from the same canon who have significant interaction with one another. Callsigns may only be applied for after a player has been in the game for two consecutive months and shown a real interest in getting involved. If the mods feel as though your activity is suffering due to the number of characters you have, they may contact you privately to work something out. 05 » ACTIVITY CHECK. As stated before, activity within the game is - obviously - a necessity, and as such a monthly activity check will be posted. Not replying to the check or the subsequent AC results post in case you miss the check proper will result in your being swept from the game. AC is at least five (5) comments from your character in any of the game communities. 06 » POSTING AND TAGGING. Please post following any guidelines noted within the appropriate communities:And please remember to tag your posts appropriately using the format "Character Name" if posting, and "Reply: Character Name" tags if replying. 07 » BE ABOVE 18 TO APPLY, TOS, AND WARN FOR CONTENT. While Sanctums is primarily a panfandom sci-fi game with horror elements, there are some adult themes that take place within the game from time to time. If you have anything explicit or potentially triggering, we ask that you please put it behind a cut out of respect for your fellow players. Also, all players must adhere to the dreamwidth terms of service as well as these listed rules. 08 » RECENTLY RELEASED CANONS While we understand the urge to make an account immediately upon returning home and the excitation involved in getting into a new canon, we request that you not apply for characters from canons within a month of their wide-release. This applies to film, television, video games, &c. If the canon was released to a limited market, or you have a question regarding the appability of a certain character, please contact a mod before you submit your application. If a canon will have been released for four weeks by the time applications open, you may submit a reservation for them. 09 » STRIKES Any player that has been shown to be in violation of the games rules will be contacted by a moderator and given a strike. If any player gathers three strikes or commits an offense particularly severe, the moderators reserve the right to remove them from the game. |
